Fin Macrae made a welcome return to the club, this time to present his talk, The On-Going Moment. His great sense of humour came through during the talk; mix this with his passion for the subject of photography and this has all the qualities for a good night.
Being a professional photographer, he has to have many strings to his bow. He was able to show this with a range of images, from commercial, gallery and commissions. He showed great technique and importantly the thought that went into his images, especially when tackling difficult subjects.
His passion for his work comes through, no more so than when describing his latest exhibition ThreeSixFive. This is an interesting collection of images, one per day for a year, from people all around the Highlands and Islands, including some famous people, such as Tilda Swinton. The portrait images taken by Fin are of a very high standard and can be seen at the Imag in Inverness until the 20th March.
