“The best place to be is where you are standing” was a quote used by Jon Baker during his presentation on Wednesday night. I can safely say “the best place to be sat on Wednesday evening” was listening to the presentation by Jon and his wife Sue.
The standard of the photography produced by both Jon and Sue was excellent. There was no hiding their passion for the great outdoors, coming across in both their photographs and their enthusiasm for thier subject. Those paying close attention to the presentation, would have picked up many tricks of the trade, from paper choices to photoshop processing techniques.
Both have a very positive attitude towards their photography and their use of the available light was outstanding. Another message he tried to get across, was to “get out” with your camera, even on the dull days as you can always find something to photograph or the light may even turn in your favour.
